Chefas Projects is thrilled to present Family Affair, an Inaugural Group Exhibit to celebrate the gallery's new location and its growing family of artists. The show features exciting new work from a wide range of singular talents, majority of whom have graced the gallery walls over the past seven years.

Family Affair ushers in the next chapter as the gallery transitions from a 500sf space to a 1,500sf location in the heart of the Industrial Southeast side of Portland, OR. With the additional space, Chefas Projects offers two showing rooms where eponymous founder Stephanie Chefas will continue to curate exhibitions outside of the traditional fine art system. 

Since opening her doors in 2015, Chefas has retained an eye for cutting-edge and often challenging work that demands attention. Highlighting a diverse blend of contemporary artists from around the world, the gallery features monthly exhibitions with an emphasis on cultivating new talent and encouraging risk and evolution among established visionaries.

Originally known as Stephanie Chefas Projects, the new rebranding and shortened gallery name reflect the artwork and artists presented each month; bold with no apologies. Leave your pretensions at the door and join us for an unfettered exploration of striking color, searing imagery, and endless possibility.

Opening Day for Family Affair will be held at Chefas Projects on Friday, December 16th from 5-8pm. Masks are optional and social distancing practices are encouraged. Chefas Projects is located in Portland, Oregon at 134 SE Taylor Street on the first floor of the Taylor Works building. The exhibition will be on view through January 7, 2023 and is free and open to the public.
