Stephanie Chefas Projects welcomes the return of painters Kelly Ording and Laura Berger with a two person exhibition entitled All the Feels.

Kelly Ording is an Oakland California based painter whose work encompasses a broad palette and a wide range of media. From muted tones to vibrant colors, pen and ink drawings to paintings, each piece intentionally pushes the limits of minimalism and representation. Employing simple repetition, geometric patterns and marking to evoke represented subjects to the viewer, Ording strikes the balance between representational and minimal compositions. Ording’s use of dyed canvas and paper takes the paintings beyond a purely abstract image by creating depth and nuance.

Laura Berger is a contemporary artist living and working in Chicago. She is inspired by rituals, symbols, nature, dreams, travel, our quest for self-development and freedom, and how we piece things together to create personal meaning and a sense of belonging to the greater whole. Her current work is centered around themes of interdependence and self-understanding, featuring figurative imagery and dreamlike minimalistic environments.

All the Feels will be on view at Stephanie Chefas Projects from July 11 - August 8, 2020. Stephanie Chefas Projects is located in Portland, Oregon at 305 SE 3rd Avenue on the second floor of the Urban Row building.
