This June, Stephanie Chefas Projects is delighted to present GET REAL, a group exhibition that highlights realist paintings and drawings from contemporary artists Stephanie Buer, Delfin Finley, Lily Mae Martin, Ian Thomas Miller, Joel Daniel Phillips, Jeff Ramirez, Eric Wert, and Elizabeth Winnel. 

The eight visionaries present a multifaceted view of everyday imagery, exploring the personal and universal alike to find magic in the familiar. Whether drawing inspiration from reality or staged experiences, the artists strike a perfect narrative balance as with Phillips' voyeuristic portraits or Ramirez's hyperrealist renderings of recognizable objects. By way of Buer's unmistakable urban landscapes and the still life of Wert, or through the sexuality and social explorations of Martin and Finley, viewers will feast on series of rich visuals drawn from the well of modern day experience. 

The opening reception for GET REAL will be held at Stephanie Chefas Projects on Friday, June 10th from 6-9pm. Stephanie Chefas Projects is located in Portland, Oregon at 305 SE 3rd Avenue on the second floor of the Urban Row building. The exhibition will be on view through July 2nd, 2016 and is free and open to the public.
